Asbury is among the nation’s 20-largest, not-for-profit systems of continuing care retirement communities and aging services, and has been helping older adults explore possibilities to live their best lives for close to a century. Asbury has distinguished itself as a pioneer in the senior living sector by creating communities recognized as well-being destinations. In 2023 and 2024, multiple Asbury communities have been recognized among the nation’s Top 25 for senior wellness by the International Council on Active Aging, including the number one spot. Q2: What types of senior living options does Asbury offer?

The Asbury Communities system includes Type C continuing care retirement communities that offer independent living with a continuum of on-site care services such as assisted living, memory care, and rehabilitation. These communities require an entrance fee for residents moving to  independent living. Those moving to assisted living and skilled nursing do not require an entrance fee.

Asbury also offers rental senior living in three locations. Asbury Chandler Estate provides independent living and personal care in Pen Argyl, Pa. Grace Park in Stroudsburg, Pa., offers independent living and personal care. Ivy Gables in Wilmington, Del., offers assisted living and secure memory care.
