U.S. News & World Report Best Nursing Homes

We’re proud to announce that U.S. News & World Report has named the skilled nursing centers at Asbury’s two Maryland-based continuing care retirement communities to its 2021-2022 Best Nursing Homes.

Wilson Health Care Center at Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg, MD, and Asbury Solomons Health Care Center in Calvert County, MD, hold 4 and 5 stars respectively from the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), among the highest possible rating from the federal regulatory agency for skilled nursing centers.

U.S. News & World Report looks at a variety of factors for its ranking, including infection control, vaccination rates, COVID-19 vaccination requirements for residents and staff, and CMS ratings. Asbury Communities requires vaccination for all staff, and has vaccinated 97% of the residents at our active senior living communities. To date, Asbury has conducted more than 121,555 COVID-19 tests in accordance with state guidelines with a positivity rate of just 0.73% – compared to a national rate of 7.6%.
