Aaron Barth Joins Lewisburg Senior Living Community from Geisinger
We are pleased to announce that Aaron Barth has been named Executive Director of the RiverWoods continuing care retirement community. He began his new role on Monday, August 23. Aaron brings extensive experience in health care management and a passion for leadership to his new role, and we welcome his enthusiasm for mission-focused work.
Since 2015, Aaron has served at the Geisinger Health System in Danville, Pa., most recently in the role of Operations Manager for the Congenital Heart Program. While there he oversaw operations and growth for 25 clinics, including the design and launch of a new virtual cardiac rehab program.
“I cherish my time spent at Geisinger and view this role in Lewisburg as an incredible opportunity to continue supporting our Central PA community. My fondness for Riverwoods grew throughout my recruitment process as I interacted with the Resident Council, hard-working supervisors and staff members, and administrative leaders. I am keenly aware of the history and legacy at Riverwoods that span over 100 years. I look forward to working with our community members to add valuable new chapters to the Asbury Riverwoods story.”
Barth holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard University and an MBA from Wesleyan College in Georgia. The son of international humanitarian workers, Barth has spent many years overseas, including working in Mafraq, Jordan, at the Annoor Sanitorium for Chest Diseases.
RiverWoods serves approximately 300 older adults with independent living apartments and cottages, as well as personal care, memory care, post-acute rehabilitative services and long-term nursing care.
