Acquisition Expands Operations into Delaware
January 2, 2024
Asbury Communities is pleased to announce that we have acquired two new senior living communities, Grace Park, located in Stroudsburg, Pa., and Ivy Gables located in Wilmington, Del. The communities offer independent living and personal care or assisted living and memory care and together serve 125 older adults.
This expansion represents another significant step forward in Asbury’s Strategic Blueprint, demonstrating our commitment serving more people and ensuring financial strength. We look forward to working together with Grace Park and Ivy Gables to integrate our Mission of exploring possibilities to your best life and our system-wide focus on well-being.
“We are thrilled to welcome the residents and associates of these wonderful communities to Asbury,” says Doug Leidig, President & CEO. “The past several years have seen a marked increase in the number of senior living organizations seeking to partner and collaborate. Smart growth helps us expand mission and strengthen financial sustainability for this critical industry by creating operational efficiencies and enhancing the quality and breadth of our services.”
With these additions, the Asbury system now has 11 locations in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee comprised of continuing care retirement communities, senior living communities, and diversified aging services. In 2021, Asbury acquired Asbury Chandler Estate in Pen Argyl, Pa., which followed our 2020 affiliation with Albright Care Services.
